Auto-Scoring

For questions with fixed responses such as multiple choice, matching, math and short answers, teachers can enter one or a list of possible correct responses. Student responses to these questions are auto-scored but teachers can also include teacher-scored questions on the same worksheet. When it’s time to grade, TeacherMade provides an “auto-score” and a space for you to add “teacher score” and these are combined to calculate the overall grade for the assignment.

TeacherMade allows you to enter more than one correct response to accommodate spelling variations. You can also choose to allow case sensitivity or not in the responses. For numeric answers, teachers can allow whole numbers, fractions, decimals and algebraic expressions.

Assign PDF Digital Worksheet

Assign the worksheet via Google Classroom right from TeacherMade. Customize using the Assign Worksheet settings menu (see below). Options include:

  • Student sign in – how students will access the assignment on TeacherMade
  • Show or hide score for students upon assignment submission. TeacherMade scores only those questions you provide an answer for. Teachers can handscore the entire assignment or specific questions to create a total combined score.
  • Score calculation options to use points or % correct.
  • Toolbar options allow teachers to hide some or all of the toolbar menus on student view of the assignment

Students can save their progress if they don’t complete the work all at once. When finished, students can turn in their work. Currently, returning work via TeacherMade does not mark the assignment as “done” for the student in Classroom, but they can do so via the assignment menu to remove the task from their pending work.
